Application Procedures for Domestic Applicants
- Apply to the Graduate School in one of the following ways:
- Online and pay the $60 fee by credit card.
- Complete the form online and pay by credit card or send the form to the Graduate School Admissions and enclose the $60 application fee (check or money order). Address is found below. Information on filling out the application form is found at the following website: https://graduate-and-international.uark.edu/graduate/future-students/applying/index.php.
- Immediately after applying through the Graduate School, complete the Notification of Application for an MS in Agricultural Economics and submit electronically.
- For evaluation purposes, applicants may submit via the online application portal an unofficial copy of transcript(s) from the university where they received or will receive their first bachelor's degree. Later upon admission, students will be required to submit official transcripts with degree confirmation for enrollment privileges. Official transcripts should be sent electronically or via the postal service directly to Graduate and International Admissions (see address below) by the university you attended.

Fayetteville, AR 72701 - Take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and have official scores for the entire exam sent directly to the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville. The UA-Fayetteville address code is 6866. Department Code is 0101. Information about the GRE can be found under the Test heading at: http://www.ets.org/
- Complete a resume or CV listing experience, education, extracurricular activities and scholastic honors.
- Ask two (2) people to complete letters of reference: follow instructions you receive over email (once you have applied) from the graduate school regarding the on-line letter of reference system.
- Have the reference fill in the AEAB Letter of Reference form and mail it directly to the Graduate Program Coordinator (provided below) or email to Rhonda Harton at harton@uark.edu.
- Alternatively, if you choose to send the reference forms directly to us, have your references seal the form in an envelope and sign across the seal.
- Follow instructions you receive over email (once you’ve applied) from the graduate school regarding the on-line letter of reference system.

- If you are seeking a research or teaching assistantship, two additional procedures are required to be mailed to the Graduate Program Coordinator:

- Complete the Application for Graduate Assistantship
- Provide a one to two page essay (single spaced) that describes your “Statement of
Academic Purpose” that includes:
- Why you have chosen our program
- What you hope to accomplish while in graduate school
- What your expected plans are after graduation
- Why you should be considered for the assistantship
